Craig Bater joined Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall’s Business Law group in 2022. A graduate of the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University, Craig has been practicing law in Ottawa since he was called to the Ontario bar in 1982.

Craig brings almost 40 years of legal experience representing a variety of clients in the areas of wills and estates, corporate and commercial law, and various kinds of civil litigation.

He has extensive experience assisting clients in settling disputes related to estate administration, will challenges, abuse of powers of attorney, construction, and corporate and commercial situations – including contracts, collections, and partner and shareholder disputes.

Prior to joining the Firm, Craig served as Counsel to a local Ottawa law firm in the areas of wills, estate planning, and corporate law.

Craig is an active member of the Ottawa business community and with a number of local charities. He has served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Ottawa International Airport Authority and the Ottawa Board of Trade.

Craig’s vast experience, along with his impact on Ottawa’s business community, make him a valuable member of our team.
