Coleen Morrison joined Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall in 2020 as a Trademark lawyer in our Intellectual Property Group. Coleen has over 20 years of experience representing clients across all areas of trademark practice as well as copyright, industrial design and domain name law. Prior to joining the firm, Coleen was a Managing Partner at the Canadian Office of a multi-national IP boutique firm.
Coleen has represented and advised parties in more than 1000 trademark opposition cases, including being retained by other Canadian firms for isolated tasks such as hearings and cross-examinations. She has also filed and prosecuted more than 5000 trademark applications since her call to the Ontario Bar in 1996. Coleen also has extensive international experience, working with foreign associates including overseeing large-scale foreign filing programs. A frequent speaker at Intellectual Property conferences and seminars around the world, Coleen is also the President of FICPI Canada. Coleen delights in her role as President of FICPI’s Work and Study Commission (CET) comprising 8 groups covering different areas of Intellectual Property, with more than 400 Intellectual Property attorneys throughout the world.
