Trent McBain

Associate

Trent McBain joined the Litigation Group at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall in 2018 after successfully completing his articling and summer programs with the firm. Trent received his J.D. from the University of Windsor in 2017 and an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences with Specialization in Criminology from the University of Ottawa in 2008. Prior to law school, Trent spent six years with the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services working as a Probation and Parole Officer.

During law school, Trent completed an internship with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in Detroit, Michigan. He also volunteered his time with Pro Bono Students Canada.

Trent has a general commercial litigation practice and has experience working on files in Small Claims Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal. Trent has also appeared before various administrative tribunals.

When faced with complex or stressful matters, clients appreciate Trent’s compassionate and dedicated approach to the practice of law.
