Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall Welcomes Talented Law Students to Firm

Ottawa – Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP/s.r.l., welcomes four exceptional summer students to start their career with the leading independent law firm in the National Capital Region. The 2011 summer students are:

Jessica Barrow: Jessica is a law student at Queen’s University and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice from Carleton University. She has volunteered at Queen’s Legal Aid and the Queen’s Law Journal. She has worked as a legal assistant at a Manotik law firm, and has been an assistant for a local real estate firm.

Falon Milligan: Falon is a University of Ottawa law student who has a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a Major in Human Rights from St. Thomas University in New Brunswick. She has been a volunteer at the University of Ottawa Legal Aid Clinic, a research assistant for Professor Constance Backhouse and a LEAF volunteer.

Joanie Paquin: Joanie is a student at the University of Ottawa French Common Law program, with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the same university. She has worked at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic and the University of Ottawa Human Rights Research and Education Centre, has been a Ministerial Assistant at Environment Canada and a consultant to an international charity.

Arminé Willis-O’Connor: Arminé is a law student at Queen’s University and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the same university. She has been a caseworker at Queen’s Legal Aid, a volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada on a human rights matter and has worked entirely in French as an Importations Clerk at Canadian Border Services Agency in Montréal.

Summer students at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall are given the opportunity to get to know the firm by gaining valuable hands-on experience through a mentorship program throughout the summer months.
