Asma Bouali

Asma Bouali is a corporate associate whose practice focuses on transactional and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and general corporate governance. She brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to supporting complex transactions and advising clients on their day-to-day corporate needs.

Asma joined Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall in November 2025, after practising at a national law firm, where she advised on high-value, complex corporate transactions. Her experience includes leading and executing comprehensive due diligence on buy-side and sell-side mandates, drafting and reviewing transaction documents, and supporting deal closings. She has also assisted with the preparation and review of disclosure materials for initial public offerings and has worked closely with external counsel across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions on cross-border matters.

In addition to transactional work, Asma regularly advises on corporate governance matters, including reviewing and maintaining corporate records, identifying governance deficiencies, and implementing remedial solutions. She is known for her ability to manage complex documentation efficiently while leveraging legal technology to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery.

Asma earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law (French Common Law Section), graduating cum laude, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with a minor in Psychology, also cum laude. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023.

Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, Asma brings a strong academic foundation and a collaborative approach to her practice.
