Mariam Sarr

Associate

Mariam Sarr joined the Real Estate Group at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP in 2022 after having successfully completed her articling program with the firm. Mariam graduated with her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and Bachelor of Civil Law after attending McGill University, and previously attended the University of Ottawa where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Modern Languages.

During her legal studies, Mariam was a volunteer at the McGill and Concordia Legal Information Clinics, where she provided legal information, referrals and community services to members of the Montreal community. Her knowledge of financing and banking law was furthered by a secondment with the Bank of Montreal, where she was able to support the Commercial Litigation Department in mandates pertaining to lending, secured transactions, and consumer protection.

Mariam also implemented peer-support initiatives while volunteering for the Women of Colour Collective of McGill Law, and is committed to the promotion of inclusion and diversity within the legal field.

Her educational background and experience working within multi-jurisdictional legal systems have allowed her to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to assist clients in both French and English.
