Sarah Kennedy
Head of Family Law Group
Sarah Kennedy is the Head of our Family Law Group. She joined Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall in 2021 after gaining extensive experience at various noteworthy Firms within Ontario.
Sarah completed her legal studies at the University of Ottawa in 2008, followed by an Articling position at the National Judicial Institute. She was subsequently called to the Bar in 2009.
Sarah worked as an acting Senior Advisor at the National Judicial Institute and then as a Family Lawyer at Legal Aid Ontario, before entering private practice, where she continued to practice exclusively in the area of family law. Sarah holds a certificate in advanced family mediation, but also has broad litigation experience, including appearing regularly before the Superior Court of Justice, as well as the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Sarah has frequently assisted client with numerous matters pertaining to parenting, child and spousal support, complex property and income issues and trust claims as well as international issues, including international child abduction.
In addition to her litigation practice, Sarah is also a certified Arbitrator in family law cases.
