Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall Welcomes Talented New Law Students to Firm

OTTAWA, May 13, 2013 – Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP/s.r.l. is pleased to welcome five talented summer law students to the firm. The 2013 summer students are:

Eric D’Aoust: Eric is a student in the French Common Law program at the University of Ottawa, with an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the same university. He has been a Tour Guide at the Supreme Court of Canada, a Legislative Assistant for the Office of the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, as well as a Parliamentary Guide and a House of Commons Page.

Max Gennis: Max is a student at Osgoode Hall Law School and has an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from McGill University. He has worked as a summer student for a law firm in Morrisburg, Ontario and has volunteered at the Community and Legal Aid Services Program at Osgoode. He is a competitive mooter with the Osgood Mooting Society as well as Co-President and Vice-President of the Osgoode International Law Society.

Devon Lehrer: Devon is a student at Queen’s University Law School, having spent one year at Bond University in Australia. He has a Masters of Applied Science, Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor of Science (Engineering), Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University as well. He was awarded First in Class for Principles of Contractual Liability as well as Vice-Chancellors List for Academic Excellence at Bond University. He has been a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Queen’s University.

Robin McNamara: Robin is a student at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law with an undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Economics from Queen’s University. He was an intern for Justice for Children and Youth, as well as an intern for CD Howe Institute. He has had a number of Research Assistant positions and has been a volunteer caseworker for Downtown Legal Services. He has been involved in mooting competitions and has been the President of the Queen’s Debating Union.  

Nina Ziolkowski: Nina is a student in the University of Ottawa English Common Law Program, with an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in Ethics, Society and Law. She has numerous academic awards including being named a Dean’s List Scholar as one of the top 10% of her graduating class at the University of Toronto. She has been an intern and volunteer with Reach Canada and has been active in the Young Leaders Forum, Canadian Centre for Diversity. She has been an Academic Writing Advisor at the Academic Writing Help Centre at the University of Ottawa. She is fluent in Polish and is learning conversational French.  She enjoys exploring Québecois culture as well as hiking and snowshoeing.
