Perley-Robertson, Hill and McDougall Welcomes New Articling Students to Firm

Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP/s.r.l. is proud to welcome five outstanding articling students to complete their placement period with the leading independent law firm in the National Capital Region. The 2011-2012 articling students are:

Samantha Barr:  Samantha is a graduate of Queen’s University Law School and has earned a Certificate in Comparative Law at the Queen’s International Study Centre.  Prior to law school, Samantha earned a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) degree at the University of Ottawa.  She has worked with the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, and as a court stenographer in Northern Ontario.

Jackie Bonisteel:  Jackie is a graduate of a combined LL.B/Masters of International Affairs program at the University of Ottawa and the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University.  She has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Western Ontario and has received numerous awards and scholarships at both the undergraduate and law school levels. 

Conor Cronin:  Conor is a graduate of the University of Windsor Law School and has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science from Carleton University.  He has been involved in the Community Legal Aid Clinic at the University of Windsor and is an Editorial Assistant at the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues. 

Philip Ghosh:  Philip is a graduate of Queen’s University Law School and has a Certificate in Comparative Law with first class Honours from Queen’s International Study Centre.  He has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in History from Carleton University. Philip has been a Research Assistant at Queen’s Faculty of Law and has several years of employment experience with the City of Ottawa Markets Management. 

Michel Nungisa: Michel is a graduate of a joint program at the University of Ottawa (French Common Law) and the Michigan State University College of Law, after having received a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) degree with a major in Political Sciences from the University of Ottawa. He has worked at the Department of Justice, Fisheries and Oceans Legal Services as a summer student and has provided legal advice at the Michigan State University College of Law Rental Housing Clinic.

Each articling student participates in five rotations over a 10-month placement, each with a different practice focus. All students are supported by a dedicated Principal (Partner), Mentor (Associate), Research Director, Librarian, and Articling Committee.
