Caroline Failes is an expert personal injury lawyer in the Ottawa area at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall and is the head of our Personal Injury Group. Caroline’s civil litigation practice focuses almost exclusively on personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance disputes and health law. Since joining the firm in 2002, she has represented plaintiffs on a wide range of personal injury issues, arguing motions, trials and appeals before the Superior Court of Justice, as well as the Ontario Court of Appeal. Caroline has particular expertise in litigating serious motor vehicle accidents and medical malpractice claims; keeping herself well informed of both the legal and medical issues faced by her clients. She has dealt extensively with individuals who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord damage and soft tissue injuries, as well psychological injuries such as post traumatic stress, depression and anxiety disorders.
Caroline has also had extensive experience representing health care institutions, with particular expertise in mental health law. She is recognized in the practice area of Personal Injury Litigation in Best Lawyers 2019 publication.
