John Siwiec

Associé

Me John Siwiec est l’un de nos avocats d’Ottawa possédant de l’expertise dans les domaines du litige et du droit de l’arbitrage international. Il s’est joint à l’équipe de Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall en 2011 après avoir terminé le Programme national de l’Université d’Ottawa, ayant obtenu ses diplômes en common law (avec distinction) et en droit civil (avec grande distinction). Il possède de l’expérience des différends contractuels complexes, des questions de faillite et d’insolvabilité ainsi que de l’exécution des jugements étrangers.

Me Siwiec a fait fonction de conseiller juridique en matière d’arbitrage à la Chambre de commerce international et au Tribunal de l’arbitrage international de Londres, ainsi que lors de poursuites spéciales.

Me Siwiec enseigne un cours en arbitrage international à la Faculté de droit de l’Université d’Ottawa et participe à l’encadrement de l’Équipe de plaidoirie en arbitrage commercial international William C. Vis de l’Université.

Au cours de sa carrière, Me Siwiec a travaillé auprès de la Commission de droit international des Nations Unies et d’Affaires étrangères et Commerce international Canada et a fait un stage auprès du ministère de la Justice et d’Avocats canadiens à l’étranger. Il est fondateur et ancien président de la Sustainable Development Law Student Society et vice-président sortant de l’Association des étudiants et étudiantes de l’Université d’Ottawa.

Me Siwiec parle couramment l’anglais et le français.
