Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall Partner Named Commercial Judge Of Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court
OTTAWA, January 23, 2015 – Barry Leon, Partner and Head of Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall’s International Arbitration Group, has been appointed as the Commercial Judge of the High Court of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC), effective March 16, 2015. The ECSC is a superior court for the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, which includes Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla, Montserrat and the British Virgin Islands (BVI). The Commercial Division of the Court is located in the BVI.
With over 25 years of experience, R. Aaron Rubinoff, Partner and firm Co-Chairman will now lead the firm’s International Arbitration Group. Aaron has been a key member of the International Arbitration Group since it was established. He is one of the leading counsel in Canada’s National Capital Region and has acted as counsel in a significant number of arbitrations, both international and domestic.
